It’s been one year already since we were that Big Yellow building. We’ve come a long way in that year and we want to celebrate! The Staybridge staff believes we have a lot to celebrate with our guests; therefore, seldom a holiday goes by without a festive community gathering in our Great Room. In December, holiday cheer was celebrated with about 150 guests sitting on Santa’s knee, enjoying appetizers from our kitchen, and shaking hands with Franklin’s Mayor, Tom Taylor. (Pictured is Mark Hansen, Staybridge Director of Sales, and Tammy Holmes, Staybridge General Manager, visiting with Mayor Taylor and Santa a.k.a. Dale Steingold, the driver of the company sleigh.) The event was significant in that it marked the hotel’s first annual tree lighting ceremony. We’d like to give a special thanks to the Salvation Army for providing music by their Junior Marching Band and to our guests who generously donated gifts for “Toys for Tots.”

For the New Year, our guests lived it up with our “Suite Package.” It was 24-hours of swimming, watching non-stop movies in our very own movie theater, rocking out with Rock Band on a mini stage, and of course, champagne and buffet. It was such a fun, casual, family way to welcome in 2010 that many expressed they would bring in 2011 the same way. If you didn’t join us, be sure to check us out next year!

We would like to introduce our General Manager, Tammy Holmes, the newest member of our organization. Tammy comes to us from Marriott where she held the position of Director of Sales. Her experience includes over 12 years of sales and operations background at full and limited services properties in Wisconsin. She has a 12-year-old son and lives in the local area. For fun, she enjoys shopping and recreational activities. Her love of the hotel business and commitment to service will make her a great addition to our team, particularly when you know her motto: “Working as a team providing superior customer service is the key to our success.” Tammy brings so many new ideas to the hotel and is a true pleasure to know.
